I set everything up for the local network and checked everything. There are three PCs—one is faulty and should be discarded, two are main machines. I tested sharing folders and connections. One PC linked to the router via Ethernet works with another but not the reverse. The second PC connected through Wi-Fi is seeing the first but not vice versa. You’re using Windows 11. Got any ideas? Maybe try enabling network visibility in settings or restarting both devices?

Executed these instructions on both systems. Network remains private, yet no action occurred after the second command.

When the network is private, it's acceptable from that perspective. The second command produces no output—it would have made the network private if it were public. Network discovery is active on both PCs. This clarifies your question about the "did you open network visibility in network settings?" Your current profile in this view belongs to the "Private networks" group. Are the "Function Discovery Resource Publication," "Function Discovery Provider Host," and "Remote Procedure Call (RPC)" services operational on both machines?

Yes. Everything is there. One silly question. I just noticed... One computer has avast on it. For the purpose of science, may that crappy antivirus interfere with local networking?

Verify AVAST firewall status. Protection settings → Firewall → Settings and turn it off for testing.
