Hi, I've been using this gaming PC setup for about five years now. The components include an i7 4790k, 8x2 Corsair Vengeance RAM, an Nvidia GTX 760 from ASUS, a Gigabyte Z97D3HP motherboard, and a system with 120GB SSD paired with a 2TB HDD (both WD green). Most games I've played have run smoothly until recently. They were all played at 1080p resolution. The performance has been consistent until recently: GTA 5 at medium to high settings with 55-60fps, Injustice 2 at low to medium with 60fps, Rise of Tomb Raider at medium preset with 60fps, Assassin's Creed Odyssey at low to medium with 30-45fps, and AC Odyssey at the lowest settings with 7-26fps (unplayable). In the past couple of weeks, I've experienced significant lag across all titles. JC3 at low settings drops to 18-28fps (unplayable), Injustice 2 to 30-40fps, Rise of Tomb Raider at medium preset 24-30fps, and GTA 5 has failed to connect to servers. Both Nvidia and Intel HD drivers are up to date, and I have a 40mbps internet connection (rockstar server). There seems to be no other solution besides reinstalling Windows 10 and the games again, as I did in December.

newest drivers, particularly for nvidia, frequently caused problems when trying to update older gpus, leading to performance drops. Consider rolling back and retrying. Additionally, check the task manager or resource monitor for high usage if issues persist.

These readings correspond to temperatures from Assassin's Creed Odyssey. I'm also unsure about what the numbers 1, 2, and 3 mean on the speed fan, but it seems temperature 2 stays at 127° even after turning it on, and this unit doesn't change for some reason.

How to reverse the process? You've installed the drivers via Nvidia Experience, which makes it mostly automatic.

1st: Keep an eye on your CPU and GPU temps in IDLE and LOAD settings. Suggested tool is HWMonitor.
2nd: Review your drives with Hard Disk Sentinel (trial version is acceptable).
3rd: Look into other drivers using an option like IOBit driver booster if you're not comfortable doing it yourself.
4th: Created a batch script with chkdsk, dism, and sfc that could be useful.

your cpu temperature is around 80°C and still high, but with just 30% load, a better cooler might help. also, what is this mobo? the 127c could be a placeholder name for lower-end boards such as h81.

Most likely a false reading. If the software is expecting a sensor to read a value, but there's no sensor, it might just error out and read an abnormally high reading.
For the CPU; mid 60s, with peaks of 80-85C aren't too bad. Could be lower but depending on your cooler might be fairly normal temperatures while under load, and it's not going to cause thermal throttling at those temperatures. 75C on the GPU seems normal for load temperatures as well. Doesn't look to be temperature related then.
Are both RAM sticks being detected? Does Task Manager show the 16GB of RAM?
Does HDSentinel or CrystalDiskInfo show any errors on any of the storage drives? Any abnormal noises like clicking for example?
That 30% usage reading might be a bit off, RealTemp isn't always the best at reading CPU usage especially when there may be uneven load across multiple cores. It might also be lower usage if they alt +Tabbed out of the game to take the screenshot of the temp readings.
Even with the 80C temps it's not going to be thermal throttling the CPU to cause the sudden and unexpected drop in performance. (I was expecting perhaps the CPU fan stopped working, or was clogged with dust and that may have been the cause of the recent performance loss)
