Laggy OS
Laggy OS
You're experiencing typical performance issues when working with a large SSD and a slower HDD. It's quite common for the OS to slow down during intensive tasks like writing data, downloading, or installing on the HDD. This behavior is normal given the storage setup you have.

Launch the Disk Management utility and verify that Windows never generated an unusual partition on the HDD. Previously, the OS would unexpectedly add an extra partition to the HDD (usually on SSD, but sometimes on HDD), causing the system to behave oddly.
I don't think so. The issue arises when my HDD is under stress, not when the RAM fills up. Yes, my RAM seems to look large on the screen since I have many open files in the background. (And yes, if it fills up it starts compressing it and moves it to the OS drive for FlashStorage—also called a paging file or virtual disk). Still, even when I close it down and RAM usage drops to 55-65%, the stutters remain!
