You're experiencing some unusual behavior after your Windows clean install. It sounds like the problem might not be with your hardware but rather with how Windows is handling it. Since you've already replaced your RAM and updated drivers, the lag and freezing could stem from other factors like driver conflicts, background processes, or even a misconfigured startup setting. A full reinstall might have cleared some issues, but if the problem persists, consider checking for system updates, running a disk cleanup, or testing on another machine to rule out hardware concerns. Let me know what you find!

Check the sensors page for any red indicators. Download hwinfo64 and review its contents for relevant sensor data. Ensure you’ve obtained a driver for your motherboard and all associated hardware, including any drive-specific utilities.

Checked hwinfo64 and sensor information, everything looked fine with no red flags. Explored power settings, which caused lag but no warnings appeared. Navigated to motherboard settings and installed Chipset, Ethernet, and Audio drivers; WiFi and Bluetooth drivers were already present. For storage devices, no drivers were found for SATA SSD, SATA HDD, or the NVME drive used for games on the manufacturer site. The Samsung 980 Pro runs Samsung Magician but displays "Page not available." Firmware was updated last year, so I doubt it affects things, and no Windows driver exists for that specific drive.

I appreciate your feedback. It seems the issue might be related to the motherboard. I remember having problems with it not booting properly before getting a repair from MSI. After that fix, lag and freezing still occur in Windows when launching apps or opening programs, though the game runs smoothly. You also mentioned using Samsung Magician with the latest firmware—no problems there. Let me know if you'd like more suggestions.
