CPU model: AMD RYZEN 7 1700X
Memory: CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 3000
Motherboard: MSI B450 GAMING PLUS AM4 AMD
Video: XFX Radeon R9 380 4GB GDDR5
Storage: Silicon Power 512GB SSD, Apevia ATX-SN900W (900W, Bronze Certified)
Power Supply: Active PFC ATX Modular, 80+ Bronze
No cooling: Nuka Cola Custom Sata
Liquid Cooling: None

System notes: CPU shows lag spikes during startup. Programs load slowly, causing delays and freezing of the mouse for a few seconds. This happens regardless of which program starts. I replaced the SSD after initial issues but the problem persists. After switching to Windows 10, the issue continues. The mouse appears to freeze in place during operation. No crashes reported, but performance remains inconsistent. Testing on hard drive and memory passed, but I’m unsure what’s causing the lag now.

They are located in slots 2 and 4, but it doesn't specify whether they're a duel channel or single channel. It mentions they can be overclocked but clarifies they're running stock settings. I aim to turn on XMP in BIOS to achieve the RAM's full speed. I would also check for chipset driver updates and a BIOS upgrade.

Thanks for the assistance @boggy77. It appears the mouse stays functional longer now compared to before, and it seems to resolve the issue mainly during startup and software installation. It doesn’t work at other times, such as when playing games. If you have any more suggestions, I’d be happy to try them out—I haven’t experienced a system freeze in this manner before.
