Hey, I just built my first PC. It works just fine and as expected, but there's one problem. I cannot find a set of pins on my motherboard for one of my case fans. My motherboard is a Gigabyte B760M DS3H AX, and I am using the NZXT H5 Flow RGB case with stock fans; the fan that won't spin is the black fan at the back of the case with no RGB (I think). I looked in the manual for the motherboard, and have not found any solutions for this. I looked for some other pins that I could use on the motherboard, and tried plugging it into the pins on the panel for LED lights, and numerous other pins, but the fan would not spin at all. The fan requires three pins for the holes, and I tried plugging into spots with more than three pins (which was probably not a good idea). I saw on a YouTube video that I should use pin splitters for this, which I will do if neccesary. If this is relevant, my other components are: Vetroo V5 CPU air cooler, Intel i5 12600KF, MSI Dual OC RTX 4060, T-FORCE DELTA 32GB DDR5, Crucial P3 1TB PCIe Gen3 NVMe M.2, and the Thermaltake Smart 500W PSU. Someone please help me with this

1: repair your cables
2: the board includes four fan connectors

What device is connected to the fan now? Make sure you only use the correct ports—only RGB plugs are allowed. A standard header can power up to 1A or 12W of fans. Since most fans use much less than that, you should safely run two or more from a single header.

The device isn't connected to anything, and I don't have a pin list for its specifications.

The device requires three pins, not four. I attempted to insert it into the four-pin setup for fans, but it didn’t fit.

You attempted once more and it worked, yet it still doesn't rotate.

Connected it to the adjacent CPU port, but it remains nonfunctional (though it shifted slightly).

Fan 2 contributed little, fan 3 was used by the other two fans.

The 3-pin fan will sit above the plastic tab that sticks out. The 4th pin, which isn't close to the tab, won't be used. Edit: It's also possible the fan isn't working at all—rare but not out of the question.

The connector should match a typical fan design, and the motherboard should follow a conventional arrangement. Connectors with four pins (PWM) can fit fans that have three pins, the extra pin will remain unused but should still function properly both physically and electrically.
