Agreed. The wife has one paired with a 3070, which is acceptable. They perform slightly better than the 8-core Ryzen 3000 chips but lag behind the newer models. Suggest avoiding long blocks of text for future notes.

I think it would be a good idea to improve things. Having more flexibility would likely help. No worries about my 9900k—it has trouble with a high-end GPU and it’s really hard to sync frames with your monitor’s resolution.

I bought the i5-12400F, and got another Gigabyte motherboard. Much better! The core i5-9400F is definitely a decent CPU but for what I do, the upgrade was worth it. Just gotta wait for NZXT to ship me a LGA1700 bracket. I also switched back to 1080p, because the GPU is basically the only bottleneck, and the 4K monitor was amazing but I miss my high refresh rate. XD But thank you! You solved my problem!
