Hey everyone! Just switched Kubuntu 17.04 and Windows 8.1 on the same SSD and got a restart prompt. After rebooting, I noticed it jumps straight to Windows without showing any GRUB menu. The first time I booted into Windows, I could see Kubuntu in Windows Explorer but that’s no longer happening. I used MiniTool Partition Wizard and here’s what I saw (Disk 2 is my SSD).

Chroot refers to setting up an environment where a process runs within a restricted file system, effectively isolating it from the broader system.

Change the root directory, mount your partition on a live disk, chroot into the desired location, and then install GRUB.

Consider exploring bios options and adjusting the boot sequence to prioritize your Linux setup. This has been necessary at times.
