I believe Kio might have been compromised, but I can't verify it directly. Regarding the cheats, they were employing a Steam Workshop feature.
kio's twitter got hacked, so I wouldn't be surprised if the steam was hacked as well But I think it sucks that all these players are being banned. Of course, if they are hacking they should be banned, but if they aren't, and there is no proof, they shouldn't be banned.
It wasn't actually compromised. It was designed to look like a breach so he could provide solid reasons if VAC gets banned. The issue is that VAC doesn’t activate immediately—it usually takes some time afterward. If your Steam account is hacked, you can update your email and password without losing your CS:GO items. Also, if his inventory were stolen, Valve would likely take action since skins are a strong marketing tool for them.
