I placed a pre-order for Arkham Knight on Kinguin and wanted to know if a pre-load option exists so I could get the key sooner. I’m okay with pre-ordering even if I’m unsure about the final optimization, since it would save money compared to waiting until the actual release date.

Have you tried pre-loading from Kinguin/G2A before starting a game?

They provide you with Steam keys, so Steam treats it like a purchase from them.

You're confused about why I don't have the key at the moment—it's still not available.

If they don't provide the key until the game becomes available, you're left with no real option but to wait. Once the key is given, you can add it to Steam and download it as if it's a regular Steam title. If they hand it over before launch, you can preload it. Otherwise, you won't be able to do that.

I checked if anyone shared their experience about getting the key early.

I placed the order some time back and received the key promptly, yet I’m wondering if you should reach out to live support for confirmation?

I purchased it from G2A when it was the D3 Reaper of Souls Expac. I received the code just two hours before the release. I’m not sure how it functions in Steam Games, but I’m sharing what happened with my game.
