Hello, I once upgraded my PC but didn’t have enough funds for two RAM sticks, so I bought just one 8GB unit. Now when I search for another, it’s hard to find the same one available. I’m wondering if I can use two different sticks with similar specifications. Here are the specs of my current stick: [link]. I’m considering the one you mentioned as a possible alternative: [link]. Thanks!

With around fifty dollars available, I’d consider purchasing a new kit. It would help guarantee compatibility.

In my country the most affordable 16GB package (two 8GB units) costs 80 Euros. One unit is slightly under 40. However, thanks for your feedback—I’ll take that into account.

They might not work in dual channel, which is problematic. Combining voltages is also problematic.

No? It's a pretty common problem on the form, where 2 sticks from the same generation dont work together, sometimes its from the same fing kit. (Usually the latter is no xmp)
