You're facing issues with your new motherboard, Kingston Fury Renegade M.2 SSD, and Windows setup. The system lists it in BIOS and Device Manager but doesn't recognize it as a boot option or allow access through Disk Management. Despite updates via Device Manager and confirmation from Kingston's software, the problem persists. Possible causes could include driver conflicts, incorrect installation, or compatibility issues with your Windows version. Check for updates, try uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, and ensure all components are properly seated.

Do you have Windows running? Make sure CSM is turned off in BIOS. If it remains enabled, run mbr2gpt to change the drive format to GPT and then disable CSM. If you don’t have Windows installed, setting it as a boot device isn’t useful.

Would you like to configure it as a boot device or simply use it as an ordinary SSD?

You can make it a bootable disk even without Windows installed, though it may not appear in BIOS or Device Manager. It seems the unknown drive is already locked but functions properly.

I’m sure I managed to secure it, but that’s not the SSD I was expecting—it’s a completely different device.

You didn't see the drive due to scrolling or window adjustments.

I managed to resolve it by setting up a fresh hard drive via Windows on the SSD, allowing me to use it now. However, I’m still having trouble installing Windows properly on it. The Windows install keeps failing with missing files. I’ve tried multiple times and even used a bootable USB from a server, but the issue persists. My old SSD works perfectly. If I disconnect the old drive and try booting from the new SSD, it shows it can’t find any bootable media when starting.
