She has a Chinese keyboard installed for an exam, possibly from Kingsoft Security. After removing it from the control panel, the files remain and the memory integrity is compromised. It doesn't appear in the task manager, raising concerns it might be malware. We've tried uninstalling it but had no success. This situation is really frustrating. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Wait, what? From the latest searches about "Kingsoft internet security," it seems to be either malicious software or a really bothersome intrusive antivirus. Since I'm not an expert, I let others who know more decide. I’d suggest completely removing the whole setup. But if you still want to try, I found some links you might find useful. Keep in mind, it’s unclear if this is the same Kingsoft or if these approaches will truly clean everything. Or if they might cause more problems.

She just taps next for everything? That sounds like a mainland anti-virus. Consider using RevoUninstaller in safe mode.

He mentioned in the malwarebytes forum that he attempted Revo, but it didn’t fully eliminate it. It seems like an anti-virus product that requires a unique, custom uninstaller to remove completely, or you’d have to dig through each remaining file yourself.

It doesn't let you remove it yourself because the system restricts manual uninstallation to administrators.

You can try using a cleaning solution or a mild detergent to eliminate the residue.

Generally, this happens because some programs embed themselves deeply within the operating system. They sometimes create duplicate versions in various locations and disguise them as a "survival tactic." Malware often uses similar tactics. Combined with poor uninstallation tools built into the software, it can be tricky to remove. I’ve encountered well-known programs that exhibit this behavior and usually have their own dedicated uninstaller for the main product. Examples include McCafee antivirus and MSI Dragon Center. See: https://www.mcafee.com/support/s/article...uage=en_US For another case: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?threa...ol.362523/ You can explore the links shared in my previous message to see if they help. Just remember, proceed with caution—it’s something I discovered while browsing without trying it myself or verifying it. If you need a straightforward approach, consider completely wiping the installation and starting over. This method feels more reliable, though I’m not sure if it’s just an antivirus or actual malware.
