I've shared my thoughts with several people about playing Kings Quest on a PC when I was younger (on Windows 3.1!), but no one seems to understand what I'm saying. Am I being insane for thinking this game was terrible back then? And has anyone else tried it?

Yeah, Kings Quest was awesome. It's how I learned my awesome typing skills. Plus the fact I didn't have it in Windows, I had DOS.

I cherished King's Quest during my childhood, successfully beating it multiple times on our old Amstrad before we acquired our first Windows computer. Also appreciated the entire Sierra series we played, such as Space Quest, Police Quest and Black Cauldron.

I fully understand the game, and I've always been interested in playing it. Those classic adventure titles feel incredibly enjoyable.

I recall Kings Quest! The only project where I really made headway was the fifth one. Those titles represented harsh realities in 3.5 floppy disk format. I tended to favor Space Quest and LucasArts Adventure games. PS The latest Kings Quest version doesn’t feel the same.

They're wildly misunderstanding. Quest for Glory was the cat's purr during the 5.25" floppy era.

One of the earliest PC games I encountered was Kings Quest VI on my dad's friend's computer, and I became instantly captivated. I think I was around four years old at that time, and I felt an overwhelming joy when my Compaq came preloaded with Kings Quest VII!

King's Quest offers excellent experiences. AGD Interactive produced impressive reimaginings of KQ I, III, and Quest for Glory II, all highly recommended: their websites provide details about each title.

I enjoyed playing Kings Quest, which brought back nice memories. I also liked the original Sim City, as well as the other Quest titles. The original Civilization game was great, and there was also a star/alien game I really liked.
