I would greatly appreciate your assistance.

Could you please help me with a computer issue I'm experiencing? I recently assembled a new gaming PC, but the monitor is causing problems. I’m using an older monitor and a VGA cable.

Specifically, my screen frequently turns on and off while I'm playing games – I can hear the audio clearly, but there’s no visual output on the monitor. This issue doesn't occur with all games, only certain titles like CS:GO, Outlast, and some graphically intensive games. I've successfully played PUBG PC Lite, PUBG Mobile Emulator, and Watch Dogs without any problems.

I've conducted stress tests and checked my CPU temperature using CPUID, and everything appears normal. Here are my PC specifications:

* Ryzen 5 2600 CPU
* GTX 1650 Super GPU
* CoolerMaster 550 PSU
* MSI Gaming Plus Max Motherboard
* 8GB DDR4 3000MHz RAM

My monitor's maximum resolution is 1366x768. I’m using an HDMI to VGA converter to connect my monitor via a VGA cable. Sometimes, the game will start and then the screen will flicker on and off repeatedly when I click to play.

I’m really worried about this, as it happened immediately after building the PC. Please could you offer some guidance?

Could you perhaps test with a different screen?

If you could... I would appreciate that.
I suspect the issue might be with the display itself, rather than a deeper problem.

If you're encountering difficulties with certain games, examine the visual configurations within the game itself. It’s possible that your display settings, particularly the refresh rate and screen resolution, are exceeding what your HDMI to VGA adapter can manage effectively, or perhaps a feature such as HDR is interfering with the adapter's performance.

I’m considering the same approach, but I lack a second screen. I'll take one from a friend’s place and then examine it. However, I require some time to complete this process. I can only accomplish this during the weekend – specifically on Saturday and Sunday.

I did verify this and also attempted all possible solutions, and I even altered the settings to their lowest levels, but it didn't resolve the issue.
