I own a laptop equipped with a Gigabyte Aorus 15G XB, an Intel 10875H processor and an RTX 2070 Super Max Q. Recently, it's been experiencing severe networking problems. I first encountered this after using Nobara Linux for roughly eight months, attempting to play an MMO where internet dropped repeatedly until the app closed. After adjusting firewall rules and network drivers, I had to reinstall the system. I switched to Windows 10 from the recovery drive found on the original NVMe drive in the laptop. Once updated drivers from Gigabyte's site (via Intel Driver Support Assistant) were installed, the same issues persist. Applications that require frequent uploads—MMOs, Discord streams, Archipelago Randomizer checks—cause my network adapter to shut down only during transfers. I can still browse normally, hear calls in real time, and open websites, though responses lag. The adapter resets occasionally. Running `ping 8.8.8.8 -t` reveals slow timings when apps are active. An odd pattern emerges: tabbing away from the upload app clears Discord and restores audio. I can stay in Discord Voice Chat without issues, even if I don’t select a window, and clicking the stream button restores connectivity instantly. However, the MMO prevents me from logging in, even when nothing else is transmitting data. After swapping out the adapter and reinstalling drivers, the problem remains unresolved. The Windows Event Log is flooded with identical error messages. I’m unable to connect this to any wired connection for further diagnosis, though a replacement might be possible within a week. Switching between two operating systems and replacing the hardware hasn’t helped. This situation is frustrating and limits my ability to use the machine as intended.
