A few keys on my keyboard spam when I hold them. I understand it should work this way when typing, but sometimes it spams the key when I press it down. How can I fix this?

Could you clarify the context? It seems like you're asking about a particular game or feature that might trigger spam when holding certain controls. Let me know if you'd like more details!

Typematic rate is configured within the keyboard driver, and the standard keyboard drivers from Microsoft no longer offer adjustments for this feature. You would need a keyboard with replaceable drivers. In MS-DOS, the command MODE CON[:] can be used, though its effectiveness in Windows is uncertain. It primarily limits repeat speed rather than letting you choose specific keys. This setting was once common in BIOS but is now managed by the driver. Certain applications, such as games, might let you modify key behavior in their settings, allowing you to bypass this restriction.
