Following further observation, I've identified the following issues.
Warning - Smart Guard
Game process ID 17832 ended unexpectedly after 8825 seconds. Exit Code: 0xc0000409
This happens consistently when closing the game.
Error - Service Control Manager
The SmartGuard Service stopped abruptly. This occurred once.
Occasionally, problems appear with my USB input devices after using the KVM switch. For instance, I encountered this error around 8pm last night. Twelve hours later, after switching to KVM, I received two kernel warnings about driver failure.
Uncertain about the cause, but I plan to investigate this service further.

Does the KVM come with its own power source? The one I use has it and there are no issues.

The KVM lacks its own power source. It appears the problem isn't with the KVM switch itself, but possibly with any USB input device. An error from a service ending improperly seems to prevent any connected USB device from being recognized, which is why the KVM switch causes this issue—since it feels like a reconnect when trying to switch back.
