Hi everyone, I hope you're having a great day.
It's been two days now and I can't play any games because of a strange issue. My movement freezes in every direction when using the keyboard—every key just pauses for a millisecond before resuming.
I've tried switching keyboards, but even the ones I used previously had the same problem.
I searched online, but no one else seems to have reported this issue.
My question is whether this might be related to my hard disk or something similar, and what the percentage of the disk is affected.
What do you think? And what steps should I take to fix it?
Thanks for taking the time to read, your answer really helps. 😊

It seems a bit confusing since the issue arises with two keyboards...
Keyboards: make and model? Maybe they’re from different manufacturers, but it’s not uncommon for both to be from the same maker. The main variation is the logo printed on them.
I recommend using the built-in Windows troubleshooters. They might identify and resolve the problem.
If those don’t help, run "sfc /scannow" and "dism".

PSU: information about the model, wattage, age, condition (original, new, refurbished, used) and disk drive capacity noted – how full is it?
If feasible, test the two keyboards in another working system to rule them out.
Other suggestions:
1) Check Reliability History and Event Viewer for any error codes or warnings related to keyboard issues.
2) Power off, unplug, and open the case. Remove dust and debris.
Confirm that all cards, connectors, RAM, and jumpers are securely installed.
Inspect for damage signs: exposed wires, bent or pinched conductors, melted insulation, discolored areas, swollen parts, loose screws.
[Reminder: if you're unsure handling these steps, ask a knowledgeable family member or friend to assist.]
Also, always back up important data before proceeding. Make sure at least two copies are stored elsewhere and are easily recoverable.

Do you have any kind of monitor available, or would it be possible to launch Task Manager while a game is running to check the usage?
A few points I want to highlight right away:
A GT740 isn’t meant for gaming; it should be used with the lowest quality settings and reduced resolutions.
8GB of RAM might work, but it’s not optimal for current games. Having two matching sticks for dual-channel performance is best. A single stick can reduce speed, and running out of RAM while the game and other apps are active can lead to issues.
Lastly, the system is using an HDD, which is a major drawback for a modern setup. If you’re experiencing low memory, switching to the page file on storage will be necessary, but it will be slow due to high latency.
I’m not claiming this is the complete solution, but it definitely isn’t helping much.

psu;600 new 1 weak old
hhd; possibly 70% free
no warning or error appears, no popup
checked everything inside, cables look good and parts are intact
maybe the two keyboards disconnect at different speeds—one slower, one faster during disconnection. I suspect the issue is with the keyboards, not the parts. They should be disconnected together if they were ordered correctly.
tns for a reply, i think you might have made a mistake
what do you recommend doing next?

If the SFC worked, what was the issue then?

Corrupted file.
Note:

You can quickly locate other related links and clarifications.
Regarding the reasons for a file becoming corrupted, it is harder to pinpoint.
Unexpected power cuts might be one cause. A clash with other programs could also play a role. Maybe an unstable update.
