i repeatedly press the e key while holding ctrl in gta 5 and it fails to register. instead, the shift key becomes stuck. vehicles such as the original oppressor and mk2 will dive forward, bikes stop spinning and cars fall if they're airborne. when i open the chat and type, everything appears in all caps and pressing caps lock turns text to lowercase, which is typical when shift is active. this issue occurs with both my notebook keyboard and external ones. the shift key stays engaged until it's pressed again, and pressing ctrl+e elsewhere doesn't fix the problem. using alt+tab moves focus backward as if holding shift, but switching programs clears the problem. i noticed that ctrl+e in other apps doesn't cause strange effects, though. testing with other keys in gta showed similar behavior with the h key. the main ctrl key behaves the same, but adds odd symptoms i can't describe. people probably won't care and will skip the post because it's too long. do you have any experience with this or a similar situation? running windows 10 home 64 bits is confirmed. also, i wasn't using sticky keys as some people suggested. remember when reddit was known for helpful replies? those were special times!
