This strange problem began about two weeks ago. Sometimes the keyboard won’t accept my key inputs after waking up from sleep, especially when entering my password. The number, caps, and scroll keys function fine, but I have to rely on the screen keyboard’s accessibility feature to type in my password. Once I log in that way, it works perfectly. I’m curious if others have experienced this before. I’ve tried unplugging and plugging the USB cable, and it makes a ding-dong sound. I suspect it’s related to the Microsoft Sidewinder X4, but it’s not a major issue—just hoping for some feedback.

Consider clearing your power profile configurations to avoid issues with the keyboard activating. Launch the command prompt or PowerShell with admin privileges and run: powercfg –restoredefaultschemes. Restart your machine to see if this resolves the problem.
