I truly hope Microsoft develops a solid operating system. I’m not happy with Windows 10 and feel anxious about its future. I’m considering this approach: someone like Linus could create a detailed video listing what we desire in an OS and what we dislike, including issues with Windows 10 or upcoming versions. Given Microsoft’s reputation for resistance, it might be worth trying to reach out to Linus directly. Even if it doesn’t work, it could be the best chance I have to influence them. The moment Windows 7 is phased out, I plan to switch to Linux, though I’m not eager about that transition. My main goal is for Microsoft to understand our preferences and dislikes clearly. The only hope I have is if someone can share this idea with Linus or another insider. We definitely need to communicate our expectations to them.

They used to rely on the date you choose when checking things, suggesting a strong link but not necessarily cause. Probably would have worked without Linux. Windows 10 seems solid for Windows—stable, strong performance, good driver support, and better updates now. I don’t see major problems with it, and since I’m in IT, I work with it regularly.

Windows 7 became less common around 2019 and isn't considered secure today. Windows 8 served as the mobile/desktop operating system. Have you used Windows 10? If not, Windows 9 could be worth considering.

Why would Microsoft even care about Linus? Their main clients are big companies, not random YouTubers. You keep using "we," but really you mean yourself. "We" don’t share the same goals or preferences, and they don’t focus on anyone else.

It seems you're questioning the current behavior of this service. It doesn't automatically update unless prompted, doesn't display ads by default, and doesn't install unexpected apps.

It doesn't affect the computers I handle since I turn it off. Still, regular stock windows aren't too bad. Why would Microsoft change? There really isn't a strong competitor in the desktop space. If you don't want to follow Microsoft's direction, consider Linux or macOS.

They probably wouldn’t care what he says, but I believe a video would likely reach Microsoft. It’s better than a random person sharing it. I’m sorry I assumed everyone wants a better operating system, though I wonder if some prefer things the way they are.
