Here are some top recommended apps for your needs: Prime95, Cinebench R20, and HWInfo are solid choices. For stress testing CPU stability, Prime95 is excellent and widely used. If you prefer benchmarking, Cinebench can be set to loop mode for effective stress tests. GPU-Z and GPU-ZX are great for monitoring GPU performance. Make sure to check reviews on your specific platform for the best fit.

Performing a comprehensive CPU stress test at prime 95 with aid64 and firestrike, using MemTest86 and OCCT for memory checks. The processor handles all-round stress, including AVX instructions.

For improving CPU performance I recommend trying BIOS settings or MSI Afterburner. Prime serves as an effective stress test for the processor, while Cinebench also works well. You should obtain the desired outcomes using either method. For GPU testing, benchmarking is suitable, and options like Heaven, Furmark, Blender are functional. Depending on your graphics card model, you might consider GPU Tweak II (for Asus), the EVGA client if it's a Radeon, or the Radeon client for other cards. I haven't used MSI Afterburner before, but I believe it's possible to overclock a graphics card with it.
