Key standards Target specifications
I've observed some unusual patterns. Many benchmarks exist to check if your PC can handle certain games, but few are available at no cost. Often I need to own the game to run the test, which feels unfair for developers. Shouldn't they encourage testing to see if we can play a title? This frustration comes from seeing both Witcher 3 and GTA 5 lack free benchmarks. It adds to the annoyance of minimum and recommended specs being unreliable. I'm certain I won't receive either. Is there any option for benchmarking specific games? Asked Dr. Google, but no results were found.
Not exactly what I expected. In-game benchmark tools are typically aimed at critics rather than average players. They’re simpler to use and provide more detailed data plus improved visuals. What you can really do is search online for reviews using your GPU and/or CPU and see how other reviewers performed the games on their systems.
This points out a key issue: most feedback focuses on hardware specs instead of software performance. It makes sense to them because that attracts more attention. However, I already have a clear idea of how my GPU compares to others using synthetic tests. I need this information before purchasing to ensure my PC can handle the game smoothly. Using a benchmark would be more useful than just looking at GPUs.
