Hello, I’m looking to improve my RAM setup. I currently have two 8GB Crucial CT2K8G4DFRA266 modules, while the recommended upgrade would be two 16GB Crucial CP2K16G4DFRA32A units. The price difference is quite noticeable, and I’m unsure why the cost varies so much between kits. Could you suggest which option is better and share some tips? Appreciate it!

It's normal for dram prices to drop lately. This particular build won't be as impressive as the Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB with its 2 x 16 GB DDR4-3200 CL16 RAM (CMK32GX4M2E3200C16).

The system operates under a specific architecture. It supports JEDEC standards for RAM or can utilize XMP formats.

Thanks a lot, everyone. I checked some manuals. It seems my setup fits the requirements – XMP compatible, Intel i9-9900K at 3.60GHz, MPG Z390 GAMING PLUS, RTX 3080, and a cooler that’s a bit large. That should work. Dark Rock Pro 4

Going for XMP RAM is acceptable. However, if that's not ideal, it might be better to look for alternatives closer to your previous RAM setup. Dark Rock Pro 4 works fine for standard modules, but steer clear of the taller ones.
