Key challenges after the Bios update
Key challenges after the Bios update
I'm using an AMD 3600 with 32GB RAM, RX 6800 graphics, and a 970 Evo Plus on a ROG Strix B450-F. It worked well after setup. After updating the BIOS for the motherboard, it ran for a few hours before frequent blue screens appeared every 5-10 minutes. I attempted a Windows 10 repair and restore points but couldn't access them. A full reinstall didn’t solve the issue. I'm unsure what to do next. The error messages include IRQL_not_equal_or_less, kernel security check failure, and several system exceptions. My PC seems to need repair, possibly due to a missing or faulty driver. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
I attempted to reinstall Windows again, but the situation worsened. It displayed a blue screen twice before reaching the desktop, and then again once on the desktop before any action could be taken. I was unable to open Edge to check resolution options or install a better browser. Some Windows updates failed to install completely. I suspect the problem isn’t with the operating system itself but rather with the BIOS update that may have damaged my motherboard. I’m currently using an older Windows backup (version 1803) stored on a hybrid drive, which is slower but more reliable than running it from the M.2 slot. It has also blue screened multiple times.
