My device stopped unexpectedly, the reason unclear. After restarting it normally, the event log shows one critical entry: Kernel power system event ID 41. This seems to point to a possible cause. What does this mean? I have no idea how to prevent it from happening again. Why does this happen? Could another program be involved? I notice several other critical events (13 more) under the same ID and category (63). It’s unclear if they’re connected, though I usually just power off my Mac when needed. My PC has been this way a few times before, but only shutting it down for short periods. Might it be linked to keeping the computer running longer than intended? Should I shut it down more often, and if so, how frequently?

You should investigate this carefully to locate the problems. It might relate to several factors, including the Windows Client troubleshooting guide on event ID 41. Let me know if you need more help!

It looks like this device has several issues that could affect performance. RAM, motherboard, power supply—my new one just died and I’ve been using it since last year, so warranty concerns are a worry. Compared to other threads about crashes or shutdowns during games, this seems less severe, but it still happens occasionally. Would you say it’s something you should be concerned about now?

Start with essential software and operating system tasks. Run the sfc /scannow command, then use DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth. If issues appear, consider reinstalling the OS to eliminate software problems.
