I just relocated and my screen worked normally until I moved it away from my desk for some work, which caused it to flash the menu repeatedly. I checked if I could hide the options and that helped temporarily, but now it keeps showing a lock icon on the display. Disabling it makes it stop briefly, though it returns to the issue eventually. It’s been really frustrating and distracting. Before this, I had no such problems with my monitor. Monitor is a Dell ST2320L IMG_9080.mov IMG_9123.mov

it seems like a basic problem with the buttons on your screen. it might be due to some dust or grease buildup on the contacts, especially since your monitor is likely from around 2012. you could try opening the back and cleaning the contact pads—it should be manageable.
