I need your help! I started with Corsair Vengeance Pro - 2x8gb/3600Mh, added two more RAM sticks, same capacity. Now I have 32gb/3600Mh (4x8). I keep seeing BSODs unless I turn off DOCP and don’t run it at full speed. It’s stuck at 2133 or something. MOBO - ROG X570-F CPU, AMD 5800X GPU, MSI Suprim X 3080 PSU, H1000X RAM, 32gb (4 x 8) at 3600MHz. I’ve faced many error codes—names change each time, but the system crashes after just a few minutes. Windows says it needs to restart because of a problem, but it loops endlessly until I disabled DOCP and got it running auto at 2133. Did I mess up? I thought it was just a normal setup issue.
Some RAM doesn’t run at its full speed by design, which is why adjusting settings can help. Try enabling DOCP and setting the frequency around 3200 MHz instead of 3600. If it works without a crash, increase it further to 3400. This process can be frustrating but often resolves the issue.
It’s time to check your RAM sticks in a proper slot. Use the memtest tool—there’s a bootable USB and a straightforward x64 Windows version. The USB option works better, but the Windows one is simpler to run and verify. Take out your old RAM, leave just one stick in place, and run memtest without DOCP. After that, turn on DOCP. If everything functions correctly, you should see zero errors in memtest. Proceed with another stick. Repeat this process for each RAM module individually. If any errors appear, you may need to return them for repair. Once confirmed stable, put all sticks together and test again. You should notice some kind of issue then. If no errors appear under default settings but DOCP still fails, try lowering the clock speed or adjusting the voltage.
