Hello, I'm setting up a system in Fractal Design Define Nano S using an i5 6600K processor, aiming to overclock it to 4.6 ghz. I plan to use both RAM slots with Corsair Vengance low-profile memory. I need a cooler that fits without covering any RAM slots. Which of these options would work best and provide the best cooling? Dark rock 3 (60eur), Dark rock pro 3 (75eur), NZXT Kraken X31 (80eur).

If you're ready to invest your time, you can purchase the Be Quiet! and check if it suits you; if not, simply return it, which is something I do occasionally on Amazon. I understand it might be a breach of the system, but fine with me.

The Be Quiet! Dark Pro 3 is excellent, just ensure you install your RAM before adding the fans to the heatsink.
This cooler performs exceptionally well.
I plan to purchase one for my upcoming air-cooled project (currently working on a custom loop).

Thank you for the response. Just to clarify, if it doesn't work for Nano S, I'll go with the standard dark rock 3.

The non pro model fits only in the Nano S without the window version. If that's the case, I'd opt for a Corsair H100i, which you can usually find used for about 80$. This will provide optimal cooling without needing a complete water cooling custom loop.

Dark rock 3 only fits in solid panel Nano S? I think the PRO version is too large, but a regular one should fit in window version Nano S. If that works, I’ll go with it since I don’t find any used h100i nearby and it’s half the price of H100i.

Choose between a Corsair H60 cooler or the NZXT Kraken.

DR3 doesn't fit, so water coolers in your budget are the X31 and H60. Which one performs better?

Correct. After reviewing the details, it seems the X31 offers marginally higher temperatures compared to the H60 because its radiator is 30mm thick while the H60 has a 27mm thick radiator. Therefore, choosing the X31 appears to be the optimal decision.

I’m wondering if it will really be an improvement over Dark Rock 3. I might choose Dark Pro 3 if that suits me. Since it’s 160mm, I think it should fit the Nano S (which has a maximum of 160mm). Has anyone had any experience with it before? Also, does X31 have lights similar to those on X61?
