Google appears poised to launch a campaign against ad blocking on YouTube. The platform has verified that a three-strikes approach for ad blocking is being evaluated, and details on its implementation have been shared. www.androidauthority.com provides updates on this matter. There is no specific information available about the timing or locations of these tests, nor any plans to restrict ad blocking in particular regions. The focus seems to be on ad-blocking solutions that operate before, during,<|pad|>’s the viewing experience. It will be intriguing to observe how this develops.
I mainly watch Youtube while driving, which means I have to pay for the Premium. I worry that the annoying ads could endanger my life.
Think about it: when I'm driving at 80mph, a pop-up ad suggests ways to improve my performance in bed.

i use NewPipe on mobile without any ads before or after videos, and it works perfectly. it's a good option if you use YouTube on mobile, as many of us do.
it functions using the embedding api which avoids ads, making it easy to start a 2-hour podcast without interruptions.
i think this should be safe from the current crackdown, since it's their own api and not an extension. but who knows...
The issue is that YT content creators also receive income from advertisements. If ads are blocked, they lose their earnings and may cease producing content.
Their ad income is minimal at best, except perhaps for the most prominent YouTubers. That's why everyone relies on Patreon to receive contributions.
