I’m considering constructing a new PC using my old RAM and processor. I’d like guidance on identifying the motherboard model, checking the RAM details such as DDR3 or DDR4, frequency, and speed. Additionally, I’m looking for affordable yet high-quality processors, specifically the i5 4th generation, to see if it’s a suitable option.

Question - I need some solid advice on hardware upgrades? Hello everyone. My PC has an Intel Core i5-2500 at 3.30 GHz, 8GB RAM, and a 250GB HDD. It lacks a graphics card and no SSD. I have a limited budget for just one upgrade. Can you recommend what to improve so my PC becomes suitable for gaming? (lol my PC is really slow). forums. That setup? they’re from a decade ago.

Using the same setup from the previous discussion, creating another rig with reused RAM and/or CPU is likely unnecessary spending.
