Hey everyone,
I was wondering if you think I could handle JC4. My current configuration is:
-G4560
-8GB DDR4 2400
-GT 1030 GDDR5 version
-Storage...
I can run JC3 at 1080p low settings with 30-35 fps (up to 50 if conditions are right), but it seems JC3 isn't very optimized. With Christmas approaching, I'm considering JC4 or maybe just some JC3 DLC?
(I'm not too concerned about the quality.)
Thanks

This message comes from Ubisoft, reminding you to run at 720p even though frame rates remain low due to CPU limitations.

Just because it failed on a few tries doesn't mean it'll improve. Good luck!

Just Cause requirements
System specs (minimum)
CPU: Intel Core i5-2400 @ 3.1 GHz
| AMD FX-6300 @ 3.5 GHz or better
RAM: 8 GB
VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (2GB VRAM or better)
| AMD R9 270 (2GB VRAM or better)
Dedicated video RAM: 2 GB

Just Cause recommendations
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770 @ 3.4 GHz
| AMD Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.2 GHz or equivalent
RAM: 16 GB
VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (6GB VRAM or better)
| AMD Vega 56 (6GB VRAM or better)
Dedicated video RAM: 6 GB

System requirements (minimum)
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500k, 3.3GHz
| AMD Phenom II X6 1075T @ 3GHz
RAM: 8 GB
VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 (2GB)
| AMD Radeon HD 7870 @ 2GB
Dedicated video RAM: 2048 MB

Recommended specs
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770 @ 3.4 GHz
| AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz
RAM: 8 GB
VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 (3GB)
| AMD R9 290 @ 4GB
Dedicated video RAM: 3072 MB

I expect comparable outcomes without the need for 16 GB of RAM. This could cause some lag.
Yes, there is an option available. You may request a refund if you don’t meet expectations. The discount for JC3 should be available around Christmas, as it usually is.
Consider testing lower resolutions. I’ve been playing at 900p on budget systems recently and I find it just as satisfying as 1080p.

Really? It doesn't seem like square optimizes their game any more effectively, but whenever I encounter poor optimization and glitchy episodes, I hold ubi responsible.

Thanks guys, I'll give it a shot and refund it if it doesn't work out well.
Also, a quick note: in Australia, JC4 is currently A$90 for pre-purchase. Would you think it might drop to around $50-60 during the holidays or stay at that price?

Thanks for the update. It looks like I should likely manage to play it at those lower resolutions.
