Hey everyone! Today my new PC had some issues—while I was just playing Forza Horizon 5, suddenly it froze and a loud sound came from the speakers. I was shocked, tried restarting but it didn’t help, so I forced shut it off. Once it booted again everything looked normal, except when I tried COD BOCW it failed too. I checked for errors with system tools and found none, even after stress testing the GPU. It seems the problem isn’t with the games or software, but with my PC itself. My specs are: NVIDIA RTX 3050, Intel Core i5-10400F, 2.90 GHz, 1TB SSD, 2TB HDD, 16 GB RAM, 600W power supply, XILENCE XNO53 MSI 510M PRO-E board.
It could be the RAM issue, as I've experienced problems before. Try re-seating it and check if the performance improves.
I think it's probably the GPU, but it could also be RAM. They worked well earlier today.
I don't have real-time access to system details or installed software. Please check your GPU manufacturer's website or your system settings for the most recent drivers.
The games performed well under maximum graphics settings without any frame drops.
You can also check the RAM using Windows memory diagnostics, which should already be available. I should note that I have no prior knowledge of this process, so I’m unsure about its quality.
It depends on what you need, but you should consider the power consumption closely, especially since usage was high during gameplay.
It's not because it's weak (it meets expectations), but because it's a low-cost brand with unclear quality so it might not be working as intended. I've used a 650W unit with an RTX 2080 while running Folding@Home for the entire winter, and the main issue is the power supply quality.
So say, if it is a psu problem then, could corsair sf750 fix this for me
