Hey team, I recently purchased a Jupiter X300 with a Ryzen 5700G and 2x8GB RAM at 3200MT/s. The device often shuts down unexpectedly—sometimes it just shows a blank screen while the fans spin as if it were still running. When I checked the Event Viewer, there weren’t any clear events before the crash, but there are error messages indicating the PC wasn’t powered off properly. I’m assuming the BIOS is current, but I haven’t checked the latest version on AsRocks yet. Any advice would be really helpful!

Typically you check AMD’s site for these details. The issue might not be the computer itself, but rather the display. It could simply be the monitor failing. Try playing some music in the background; if the system remains stable after the screen goes dark, it wasn’t a crash.

I checked their site and installed the drivers, but once the crash occurs, everything stops except the speakers.

It’s a crash, which is good. The OC situation remains uncertain since even a stable overclock can behave unpredictably. Often, what looks like a steady boost isn’t reliable. Edited May 24, 2022 by Bombastinator

It could make sense to consider underclocking if it helps lower power consumption, even without needing a performance boost.

I came across a video title suggesting always undervolting the 12th generation. I didn’t watch it, so I’m unsure about its validity or worth.

I believe I might have found a fix (touch wood). I limited the CPU to 3GHz to reduce power consumption, and so far it hasn’t crashed. I’m curious if there are more stable, high-power adapters available. Since the Jupiter comes with a 90W rating by default, which feels a bit low, I’m wondering about better options.
