Swap the processor into the opposite socket. If it works with just one, it likely has a primary socket and that CPU must be there. Otherwise it probably needs two CPUs. I’m not sure if any manual exists for these boards to verify either case, and I haven’t found anything via a quick search.

Zando, you're right—no manual and it wasn't in the box. I don’t expect much, but it’s worth a shot. I’ll swap the slots and see. If it doesn’t work, I’ll go with two CPUs.

They offer enjoyable ways to experiment, though you won't find official manuals anywhere. It seems they don't exist in traditional form, unless you search for QR codes and discover some manual-like resources.

Update: CPU relocated to the alternate port succeeded. It now boots but displays error code 53. Some findings suggest memory issues. I attempted to use desktop DDR4 2400, but it isn't compatible. Will test with ECC RAM and verify.

Join the exciting realm of Chinese salvage boards. The chipset is probably sourced from a server that only supports ECC. Many of these boards come with significant modifications to expand possibilities, while others remain fairly limited in their features.

The ECC RAM arrived today. It began displaying numerous post codes for about two minutes before stabilizing on EE with several beeps. There is still no booting. Could you clarify what the EE post code signifies?

Ok so... keeping this updated, I hope it helps others. From some googling. EE means bad memory. I removed the battery with the power off and left it for 5mins. Reseated all modules, then did a CMOS reset and powered up. There are signs of life now, The keyboard numlock light is on and works, no video and getting AE post code now.
