Hello! I'm experiencing some serious audio problems. My sound drops frequently, sometimes cutting out completely every minute when using a GoXLR, and other times it sounds very noisy. I've checked both devices I own—two of each—and they still work fine. My setup includes Windows 11, an AMD Ryzen 5 5600G with MSI RTX 3060Ti, a Corsair Vengeance LPX, and audio gear from Beyerdynamic and Audiotechnica. I've reinstalled the OS, updated drivers, replaced the motherboard, and even tried different cables and USB ports. The issue appears only when my computer is under stress, like during intense gaming sessions such as playing Call of Duty. Recently, I played Minecraft with Ray Tracing enabled, which seems to trigger the problem. It might be related to a USB connection issue since the internal audio ports on the motherboard are functioning properly, but I need the XLR mic to work correctly. I've also tested using headphones without the amplifier, but static remains. I'm really puzzled and would appreciate any advice from others. Thanks!

Hello @YaBoiiGeorge! This sounds like a tricky situation. Maybe think about what you haven’t tried or changed. Have you experimented with another DAC/amplifier? The only other possibility I can think of, besides a hardware issue, is that your setup might be affected by electrical interference or improper shielding from EMF in the room. If other computers in the area show similar issues, you may need to replace parts until you identify the cause. I’m sorry I can’t offer much help directly, but others here might have useful tips for troubleshooting. Wishing you success and good luck! Cheers! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*

Thanks for your help! I’ve already tried using it without the amplifier, but the problem remains unchanged. I’ve tested around three different DACs so far. The challenge is that the issue keeps happening, making it hard to get support. My PC was built from CyberPowerPC, yet fixing it seems nearly impossible unless everyone has identical hardware to test. It’s really frustrating.

Yes, that sounds like an unreasonable amount of pain, especially when you paid for the service of a pre-build computer. If it is still under warranty and you don't mind going a couple of weeks without it, you could ask to send it over so they have a look at it and (hopefully) solve the issue. It definitely is not a convenient solution and typically I would try my best to find the cause but audio equipment is not something I am confident advising on. I really hope other forum members with greater expertise than me can help; I'd hate to leave you to out to dry without giving a good effort but the whole field is far out of my reach in terms of experience. You could also ask for help in the various Reddit fourms dedicated to hardware and sound and draw from their own perspective and know-how. At this point, it's just a waiting game and hope the right person comes along but I'm afraid it's not me. Again, I'm sorry about the whole situation. If you have any other questions let me know. P.S. I don't know if anyone has told you yet but, welcome to the forums! ♪☆\(^0^\) ♪(/^-^)/☆♪ Cheers! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

Have you experimented with alternative cables? It seems like a possibility the headphones might be the issue. I've tried everything except the ones you currently have. Another thought is a CPU problem—this only occurs when under stress, possibly linked to power supply instability. I recall in the past E-Machines faced significant USB problems due to faulty power supplies. Part of me wonders if the system struggles with power delivery when it's overloaded, leading to unexpected behavior.

I've tested various cables and the Steelseries Arctis 7, but the problem persists. Concerning your other concerns about CPU or PSU issues, could you suggest methods to help identify the cause? Are there any tests that might clarify the situation? I assumed the issue was limited to USB ports, as the headphones and overall audio work fine when connected via 3.5mm on the case or back of the motherboard. Thanks!

You're welcome! I've been looking into this and it looks like others with Ryzen setups face similar issues. Someone reported the problem after overclocking and adjusting the VDDG/VDDG IOD voltage, which resolved it. It might be worth trying a lower voltage or disabling any overclocking settings. I wouldn't suggest raising voltages unless you're confident, as it could be risky. Feel free to reach out if you need help later—just message me at @BookofNeat. Cheers!

The only sure way to confirm is through testing. I’d purchase a reliable power supply from Amazon or another place with easy returns. For a CPU, choose a budget model compatible with your system. I used a Celeron for my 3770k—it performed poorly but was good for testing. The most affordable choice I found is something like the Ryzen 5 4600G, which includes built-in graphics. This provides flexibility if you need it for troubleshooting. Could a damaged power supply be an issue?
