I've noticed some unusual things happening with my PC lately. What might be causing these issues?
I've experienced some unusual events with my newly assembled PC. During the BIOS update from version 1.7 to 1.8, the system would normally display the latest version number when entering BIOS settings. However, after turning off the PC and replacing the USB drive with a Windows installation, the machine failed to start and displayed a strong red and yellow light on the motherboard. MSI advised me that I might have damaged my motherboard and recommended removing the CMOS battery first. Following their instructions, I did so and waited at least five minutes before reinserting it. After replacing the battery, the PC booted normally to BIOS settings, showing the updated version without further issues. Once Windows was installed, everything seemed to function correctly.
Despite this, some concerns remain. The CPU fans become extremely loud under certain conditions. While this isn't bothersome during heavy tasks, it becomes noticeable even during simple downloads. I don’t recall the fan noise on my older system with the Intel i3-9100f cooler. I’m using the Thermalite Peerless Assassin 120 SE alongside the Ryzen 5 7600X. It’s unclear whether this increased noise is due to the CPU, the cooler, or the motherboard itself. I’m also uncertain if this issue points to a CPU, cooler, motherboard, or even a damaged component.
My main concern stems from other PC problems I’ve encountered recently. I attempted a system restore to revert changes after an automatic update, hoping to fix app behavior issues. However, the blue screen of death reappeared each time, and restoring to a previous version didn’t resolve the problem. I tried reversing the restore, but the process was equally frustrating, with the PC taking longer than usual to recover.
I’m still contemplating returning the motherboard if necessary, but I’m worried about potential damage to other parts if the issue lies elsewhere. Could this failure in booting after BIOS changes indicate a deeper problem with the motherboard? How can you tell if the motherboard is affected by such issues?

Include the PSU age along with its make and model.
If you can access BIOS, confirm the current version.
Regenerate the bootable USB using Windows Media Creation Tools on a different system, then attempt OS reinstall.
While rebuilding the installer on another machine, gather all platform drivers and save them to a folder or thumb drive.
Once offline installation is complete, manually add drivers via elevated command (Right click installer > Run as Administrator).

When discussing drivers, it usually refers to specific software like AMD Adrenalin for AMD users. Whether other Windows-related drivers are applied automatically depends on the system settings and configurations.
