I have experienced various gaming computers in the past. Whether using a gaming desktop or laptop, I often faced FPS drops or screen stuttering. I am uncertain about the cause of these issues. I once owned a high-end gaming computer with top hardware, playing older games like CoD4 even at the lowest settings, but still encountered problems. My gaming laptop also has persistent issues, and I use a cooling pad to avoid overheating. I strongly wish to return to PC Gaming, where I can enjoy mods in CoD4 without interruptions. I am tired of relying on consoles now and would like to play mods smoothly. Do you have any alternative suggestions?

The laptop I'm using is the one linked here: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-env...tb...Id=6537115. Also, I'm confident my BIOS is current.

I'm experiencing temperatures under 50°C. It would help to use the dedicated GPU during gameplay. The frequencies are around 3000 MHz and seem to vary slightly, possibly causing the problem.

You could try boosting your wattage by adjusting settings or upgrading components.

manufacturers might struggle to achieve a suitable mix of temperature, power consumption, and performance.
