everyone else does it... purchase something using PWM control. I'm unsure how many I've swapped for clients now—feeling pretty lucky. I mainly use Lian-Li Uni-Infinity 120mm fans; 13 of them are a bit pricey. But you can buy one cable from a bulk order and get up to four fans. The newest SL v2 should stack more, though if you're tight on budget, PWM fans are a great deal.
I might have the chance, but right now just one cable and one adapter could make a big difference. Thanks for your help!
I understand some fan/RGB controller boxes use that connector, though I don't know the exact type. They usually come with a 3-pack of fans.
Sadly, the PC arrived wrapped inside the box. Finding this adapter must be a challenge. In the EU it's difficult, and online options are limited. Even local shops aren't easy to locate, and unfortunately there aren't many in stock.
I've noticed them in many budget RGB fan sets. They usually include an RGB controller box along with high and low RPM settings. You probably wouldn't be able to connect them straight to the mainboard, especially since I've installed mine before. However, Jayz2cent mentioned in one of his videos testing one of them—remembered it was crucial to have an adapter because they're tightly secured. I'm looking into whether it's still available. I didn't locate the part, but some sources say they're very affordable, though you can't control PWM with the mainboard. Did it come with a remote?
