I've had enough of every game I attempt.
I've had enough of every game I attempt.
I've spent a lot of time gaming, trying countless titles. The best gaming period was playing Minecraft on a community server in 2014, and during the pandemic I played Stardew Valley with sad music. Now I enjoy Stardew Valley but get bored after about 15 minutes. I'm searching for a game similar to Stardew Valley or a medieval-style one. I tried Witcher but didn't like it. What suggestions do you have?
Take a moment to pause—sometimes when your mood shifts, playing won’t matter and everything feels dull. Just break the usual routine. Personally, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Baldur’s Gate 3 kept me hooked. I’ve spent around 60 hours a week on BG3 and still feel like there’s more to explore. I’ve already logged 200 hours into it.
Based on my own experience, the problem was spending too much time in multiplayer games and missing out on single-player sessions. Friends often encouraged me to join them, but I stopped using Discord and set myself up as invisible on Steam. It took time to regain interest, and now I struggle more with not wanting to play at all. I find it frustrating to feel like competing in multiplayer is a hassle and that putting effort into it feels like a chore. The issue seems to be that overdoing one thing makes it hard to switch to something else, so I recommend taking a break and thinking about what you truly want to do.
You're right, solo gaming used to be fun, but now everyone around me is busy. I miss playing games by myself, though it's hard to shake that feeling. I used to enjoy FiveM, Minecraft, PUBG, and similar games with friends, but now most of them are working or have moved away. I need to rekindle that excitement and passion.
Consider exploring a completely new style to capture your attention.
I once enjoyed FPS titles, but it might be that I've grown and the FPS world has shifted toward microtransactions and skins, while the games as a service model doesn't really appeal to me. At most, I play casually and don’t invest time daily chasing skins or updates. What still keeps me engaged are driving/racing and strategy/city-building games.
I suspect this might be a lie. I notice it often—people who play just one game, maybe two for years straight, then suddenly feel utterly uninterested. Every day, dozens or even hundreds of games come out. It’s hard to say what you truly want beyond feeling stuck in a loop that leads nowhere. It seems shortsighted to ask for something similar after what you’ve described. Perhaps use this chance to explore new experiences instead of repeating the same old routine for years.
