Lately, I’ve experienced performance issues in games, even older titles, and this is unexpected. My system includes a GTX 1080 graphics card, 32GB of RAM, an i7-7700k processor, and a water cooling system.

What operating system are you using?

Is your 32GB of DDR4 memory configured as a single kit, or are you using multiple sticks? Have you experimented with reducing it to 16GB and testing various memory modules?

Are your motherboard’s drivers and BIOS software current?

What power supply unit do you have?

Are you running any overclocking settings? Could you share your temperatures while doing so?

When was the most recent time you installed Windows completely?

Are you utilizing a hard disk drive or a solid-state drive?

Could you provide additional details, please?

My computer runs Windows 10 (64-bit). I’m unsure of the process to determine if my BIOS is current. My temperatures appear normal, but I could provide more specific readings if you could guide me on how to obtain them. I possess a 1 terabyte hard drive and solid-state drive, however the SSD is nearing its capacity, potentially causing slower startup times. I have two 16-gigabyte memory modules for DDR4 RAM. My power supply unit is an 880-watt Corsair model. I’m uncertain whether I am currently running any performance enhancements beyond the default settings.

I'm experiencing similar problems to Peenu’s. My system configuration is this: Windows 10 (64-bit) – a recently assembled PC with updated hardware and drivers, confirmed by my SlimDriver software. My processor is a Ryzen 2700x cooled by a Wraith Prism, and I have a Zotac GTX 1080ti with 11GB of VRAM. I'm using 16GB of DDR4-3000 RAM (Crucial). Games are installed on a 2TB SSHD Firecuda drive. My operating system and drivers reside on a separate 500GB SSD, and I use a 750 Watt Gold Corsair power supply. The motherboard is an ASRock B450 Pro4, and the BIOS was current at the time of purchase last month. Following a game crash, my computer becomes significantly sluggish, requiring either a hard reset or accessing the Windows menu to restart before it returns to normal operation – this recurring issue is most noticeable while playing titles such as The Witcher 3, Conan Exiles, Heroes of the Storm, and Diablo 3.
