Hello, I've just assembled a new computer and am experiencing occasional brief pauses during gameplay in certain titles. Specifically, games such as PUBG exhibit this problem when utilizing moderate graphics configurations—primarily high texture quality with the remainder set to low.

My system specifications are as follows:

Processor: Intel Core i7 8700k
Memory: 16 GB of 3200MHz G Skill Ripjaw RAM
Motherboard: MSI Z390-A Pro
Graphics Card: MSI GeForce RTX 2080 VENTUS 8G OC 8GB 256-Bit GDDR6 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
Monitor: Dell S2716DG (2560x1440@144Hz)
Storage: 894GB ADATA Su655 (SATA SSD)

I also possess a 3TB mechanical hard drive, though all of my games are currently installed on the SSD.

I do not believe overheating is contributing to this issue. I've attempted various adjustments within the NVIDIA control panel and verified the integrity of PUBG’s game files, but these efforts have not resolved the stuttering. Interestingly, CSGO and Apex Legends perform without similar interruptions, while Minecraft previously operated smoothly—a recent change that I find puzzling. Thank you for any assistance you can provide in diagnosing this problem.

Which graphics card are you using? There isn't a 4GB 2080 model.

Have you installed every driver, including those for your motherboard and processor? If so, that should resolve the issue. That’s what worked for me, at least. If you're unsure whether you’ve completed the installation or have forgotten, simply reinstalling them is a safe option. However, I’m confident that installing all drivers correctly will eliminate any further stuttering.

Key Components to Update:

Motherboard:
Locate and install the appropriate drivers for your motherboard.
CPU:
Install Intel chipset drivers, Intel MEI drivers, and Intel RST drivers.
GPU:
Install the Nvidia driver.

The reason I suspect driver issues is that I experienced this problem for approximately a month, but recently discovered a solution.
Ultimately, good fortune to you.

I’m unable to locate the Intel RST driver within Device Manager, and I haven't been able to find it.

I revised the processor group and the MEI, and my Nvidia graphics drivers are current. I’m uncertain about the location of the Intel RST software. I'm unfamiliar with installing motherboard drivers and am unsure which ones to select. Thus far, it appears to have marginally improved PUBG performance, but Minecraft continues to exhibit microstuttering and hasn’t alleviated that issue.

Apologies for the delayed response, but I trust this information is beneficial.

Motherboard firmware:
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/...iver&Win10 64
Intel RST:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product...Intel-RST-
Following installation of these components, consider using Driver Easy to verify whether your drivers are current.

I hope this is helpful.
