Hey! I turned off automatic updates on my PC, and it's still running smoothly on build 1803 without any issues. Over the past weeks, I haven't encountered any Windows update problems. It seems fine to proceed now. Also, I plan to install a fresh Windows from scratch after wiping the old version—just making sure it's safe. After that, I'll revert to disabling auto-updates.

I've been using 1809 from the start and hope it never caused any issues like others have.

All machines are now set to 1809 successfully, making the update secure. Keep backups handy to protect your data in case of any issues.

I have saved my backup drive before 1809, and after the update everything seems fine so far.

It seems like you're confirming there are no problems with updating your setup.

1809 has a few issues, though they might not matter much to you. Some RAM tools stop working if you set a drive larger than 3GB, but there are alternatives that do. The Radmin server doesn’t handle pointer shapes properly (they might have fixed it, but I haven’t seen updates yet). Some users report lower frame rates in games. Boot times could be a bit longer, possibly due to an old SATA controller. I’m using 1809, but I’m unsure if it’s fully reliable for everyone.

It's secure, though using it with an HDD may cause certain operations to lag behind 1803 or 1709.

I'm working with it on an SSD, yet my data resides on a 7200rpm HDD.

I rely on my PC for intensive video editing tasks, not for gaming. I’m mainly worried about performance drops, driver problems, and the risk of losing important files.
