I’m almost finished with my new build and just need to pick the RAM kit for my B550 Tomahawk. Both 32GB options seem dual-ranked in reviews. I’ve run countless benchmarks and checked Reddit discussions—some show minimal differences, others highlight variations. Most reviewers favor the higher frequency model (3600Mhz). I’ve installed either the G.Skill F4-3200C16D-32GVK or the F4-3600C16D-32GVK, both listed on G.Skills QVL. The price gap between them is roughly $50. Perhaps I should run a poll and let it sit for a few days. Also, any thoughts from others who are searching for this info would be helpful.

3600CL16 seems quicker yet lacks value compared to the alternatives. Consider checking 3600CL18—better performance at a lower cost than 3600CL16.

We already have sufficient poll data. The 3600 CL 16 performs better, marginally. There’s enough information to observe or it could be worth $50. Not.

Search for a 3600mhz CL18 unit, they’re available at comparable prices or slightly higher than the 3200mhz CL16. If RGB isn’t necessary, opt for a Teamgroup kit of RAM. They’re durable and offer good value for the money.

What others should consider purchasing differs from what I choose for myself. While I personally upgraded my 5800X3D with a 3600Mhz CL14 setup and adjusted all sub-timings, for someone focused on value and less hands-on tuning, I recommend a 3600Mhz CL18 kit.

AMD CPU efficiency relies heavily on the internal clock frequency known as FCLK. This frequency is influenced by memory speeds. Although DDR4-3200 CL16 and DDR4-3600 CL18 are similar, the 3600 speed configuration excels for AMD since it raises the FCLK to 1800Mhz compared to 1600Mhz.
