I recalled the 7 Days to Die reference beforehand, so I decided to share a gameplay collection with you. Alpha 19 remains fully stable now, but these characters were challenging during the game’s earlier days when performance dropped due to frame rate issues. This playlist still showcases the game’s strengths—combining zombie apocalypse survival, realistic hunger and thirst mechanics, plus an expanded building system that offers much deeper customization options.

Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing well. I've been keeping busy with the actual game lately, and I finally managed to earn enough credits for my first big ship – the RSI Constellation Andromeda. It's surprisingly agile for a large vessel. If you're looking for a multi-crew gun ship, this one’s a solid pick. The extra-player operated turrets are not working on this version, but I hear they’ll be fixed within two weeks. For now, if you want to run a turret on a bigger ship, just grab any other large vessel. Most ships function perfectly fine.

If you spot anyone in a ship named "HammerHead," ask them if they can join you. It's the biggest and highest DPS ship available right now, perfect for groups of up to ten players with six turrets. When fully manned, it can hit around 25K DPS. This is exactly what you'll face in the toughest missions.

I even tried to take down the Idris Capitol with a few friends last night. Unfortunately, we didn’t make it. You’ll likely need three to four HammerHeads to take it out safely, but we only had one HammerHead and myself. We lacked the firepower. Then when the Idris activated its rail cannon, we knew we were in trouble – it took us both out quickly.

I saw how tough those missions can be. I even managed to destroy the Idris Capitol with some help, but it was a close call. The HammerHead is what makes the hardest challenges worth it.

In other news, be careful about scams on eBay. Buying from these sellers risks losing your real money, as the game is currently in Alpha mode and uses temporary currency for the final release. Only ships you purchased with your own real money or through the official RSI website will be available at launch. There’s no way to permanently buy a ship for the final version using in-game currency – it’s because many exploits let players earn huge amounts quickly, so we’re keeping purchases temporary until the game is balanced.

For example, I currently own four ships, but when the full game launches, those three will be gone. I’ll only have my Aegis Avenger Titan again, since the package I bought with real money is the Titan Avenger – a great starter that’s affordable, strong in trading, and offers good combat stats.

Make sure to check out this video for more tips!

Final update to this thread. So update 3.12.1 just hit, its a great time to join the game, it includes a massive server-wide mission/event available to all players in each server where you actually take down several Idris capital ships that are honing in on a friendly Javelin capital ship. You make money in game playing the mission no matter what, with bonuses for extra kills or landing a kill shot on an Idris. CIG also made the right call to reduce maximum players per server from 50 to 40 to drastically improve the performance of the game, and quite a lot of major bugs were wiped out with this update as well. I've already done the mission several times and killed probably a dozen Idris's myself using the largest missiles in the game which basically deliver the damage of a miniature nuclear warhead. There has never been a better time to play, take a look:
