It might relate to the belief that some Linux users feel a bit superior. I still enjoy trying Ubuntu occasionally, but it falls short for most of my needs. Even macOS feels more reliable for my current tasks. Setting up a Hackintosh isn’t as big of a deal, but it’s not the best fit. Most people who use Linux are fine with light work and browsing, but for gaming or serious productivity, it falls behind. I don’t require long-term usefulness—I just want something that works today. Windows and macOS always have an advantage because they’re practical right now, not just future promises.
As soon as adobe drops a native version of adobe cc, I'll make the change, gimp will always stay better than photoshop.
