Hello everyone. I discovered my PC was running slowly recently and suspect something might be wrong. The Desktop Windows Manager is using a lot of my GPU—often 50-100%—even when I’m not actively checking with Task Manager. Anyone experienced with this issue? Could it be malware?
Use DU to remove the current graphics card drivers, then install the newest version.
Assuming it halts when you launch Task Manager, I recall some pirated game versions that installed miners on users' systems. For instance, a version of Call of Duty appears to do just that. I had to remove the infection by hiding from Task Manager. A good approach is to add malware detection and run a scan.
