It's running slow on your 200GE.
Your computer has been acting sluggish recently. I've tried reinstalling Windows, swapping the SSD, adding more RAM, updating drivers, and even checking the power supply and motherboard. Still nothing. The machine works fine before, but it feels very slow now, even on the desktop screen. Here are your specs: AMD 200GE with 2x8GB RAM, Asrock A320M integrated graphics (Vega 3). Any suggestions? I don't think the PSU or motherboard is faulty. P.S. Disabling and re-enabling the graphics driver helped temporarily, but lag returns after restarting.
Is your system based on Windows 10 and using an SSD as the primary boot device? Based on my observations, Windows 10 can have trouble running smoothly on budget processors due to numerous background tasks. Consider turning off unnecessary processes in the Startup section of Task Manager.
I set Windows 10 on an SSD and attempted to turn off certain startup programs, but nothing improved. I also tried downgrading from version 21H1 to 1806, yet performance issues persisted. The Task Manager didn’t show any CPU, RAM, or GPU spikes. Thank you for your help!
Recent updates to Windows 10 could improve performance due to their optimizations. Consider changing the thermal paste and cleaning it with compressed air. Use OpenHardwareMonitor to monitor your temperatures --> https://openhardwaremonitor.org/ Review the video I shared in my previous post; I’ve applied these steps myself to enhance Windows 10 on budget systems. Running a virus/malware scan might also help confirm your system isn’t being hindered by threats.
