I have been trying to set up a Windows 11 virtual machine on Oracle Virtualbox but I am getting super slow and laggy results. Even though I gave it all the power it could get, it is still too slow. When I try to install windows 11, the loading screen gets stuck like crazy and needs about a minute to finish one step. Then I have to wait another half hour for the next part of the process. After using this virtual machine for five hours, it said that the Windows installation didn't work so I should try again. My computer setup is: Ryzen 5 1600X processor, 24 gigabytes of RAM, and a Radeon RX560 graphics card with 4GB. The VM is running on a separate NVMe SSD where my host's main hard drive (C disk) is also an SSD. I tried changing the CPU cores to six and giving the virtual machine 16 gigs of RAM but nothing fixed this problem. Everything still feels extremely slow even though Windows 7 and 10 have the same issue too, except that Linux works perfectly fine with my setup.

How does this appear in the VM settings? If it shows as an NVMe drive, you'll need to install custom drivers on your installation media so it works correctly. Right now, it probably uses old tricks to find the drive, which makes it run really slowly.

How much space is there in my virtual machine? Which version of virtualbox do I have? Maybe Hyper V settings are involved? The post mentions that 6.1 doesn't support TPM yet, so installing it might be hard. The link points to a developer forum where they discuss adding Parallels Desktop or using Hyper-V on virtualbox.
